BTW Flare is probably one of the worst skills in the game. I imagine casting it over and over gets pretty depressing, pretty fast.

mooseuk - he means he's hit the level 20 cap and then "level'ed" twice more. Level 20 is the cap for players, we can't get any higher than that. However we still gain experience and when we get 20K experience we will gain another "level" - this will grant us another skill point. So you could say that we get to level 20 and then get 1 skill point every 20K xp afterwards.

So when someone says they are level 20+2 or 20+12 or 22 or 32, etc and so on, they are referring to that fact They are level 20 and "level'ed" x times over that.

He's only level 9 (and barely left Ascalon) but I can't seem to play him any longer because of the repetitiveness...
My point of view:

Elementalist's skills are rather obvious, what means that what you read in the definition is what you have. This similarly happends with Rangers, Warriors and Monks. Most of these profession's skills are of interest for people who like devices and technical questions.

If you like to solve and put to people inteligence problems I would recoment a mesmer. If you like to be oportunistic and to have fun I would recomend a necro.

Of the games I know other than Guild Wars (I am not going to mention them) most of them have warriors, rangers, mages (or elementalist), priests (or monks), and necros (or warlocks); or some hybrids like druids (ranger/monk), paladins (warrior/monk), ... .

But, mesmer's like profession I only have found in Guild Wars. And the possibility of some hybrids that you can not find in other cases.

That is all.

If you want variety, go for a R/X. X can be any secondary.
If you enjoy challenge, play a Me/X or a Necro/X.
It all depends on what's fun to you.
